Origins

Forged through real constraints

AquaHub was not born in a classroom. The founding team came together through competitive innovation programmes and field-driven projects.

We are engineers & scientists by background - physicists, electronics designers, and system builders. We have spent years troubleshooting hardware in environments where failure is expensive, and iteration is slow.

We repeatedly encountered the same bottleneck: building reliable systems for harsh environments takes far too long, and considerable effort is spent reinventing basic hardware.

AquaCore was created to solve this problem at its root.

EUDIS Hackathon 2024 Winners

We validated our technical foundation and market need as winners of the European Defence Innovation Scheme (EUDIS) Hackathon.

Since then, we have actively engaged with the European deep-tech ecosystem through accelerators and industry events across robotics, autonomy and applied engineering.

The problem we solve

Teams spend more time making electronics survive the environment than building the functionality that actually creates value.

Current State

  • Waterproofing dominates development time and cost.
  • Every system becomes a bespoke mechanical and electrical integration effort.
  • Iteration cycles are slow, fragile, and expensive.
  • Existing solutions are either over-engineered and costly, or ad-hoc and unreliable.

The AquaCore Solution

A modular, plug-and-play hardware ecosystem. A reusable infrastructure layer that scales from R&D to real deployment.

  • Fully sealed connectors, cabling, compute modules, power modules, propulsion units, and prototyping interfaces
  • Work out of the box without custom enclosures or cable glands.
  • Hardware for the booming naval industry: AI, Swarms, Blue Tech, sea drone swarms, counter-mine operations, marine sensors, and IoT-enabled maritime systems.

Team Background

Why our team is uniquely qualified to build modular robotic systems for the aquatic environment.

Engineering-led

Built by a small, highly technical team with strong foundations in physics, electronics, and systems engineering. We are hands-on builders, not concept designers.

Proven in real projects

Our members have worked on Autonomous UAVs, Near-space robotic probes, Hardware for spaceflight & lunar exploration, and research instrumentation and experimental equipment.

Deep technical credibility

Backgrounds in embedded systems, signal processing and data analysis, Scientific research in physics and robotics, and Rapid prototyping and additive / subtractive manufacturing. We design products that are manufacturable, testable and reliable in real environments.

Traction & Validation

AquaCore is currently in an early validation phase. We are pre-revenue, intentionally focusing on technical maturity, lean development, and product-market fit.

  • Alpha versions being tested with industry partners.
  • Feedback is actively shaping product design.
  • Use cases span research, robotics, and early-stage commercial systems.

European Technology

AquaCore is designed and manufactured in Poland, with limited reliance on geopolitically sensitive supply chains. This positions AquaHub to serve customers who value technological independence, resilience, and long-term availability - particularly in defence-adjacent sectors.

Strategic Vision

We believe autonomous systems will be critical for Infrastructure inspection and monitoring, Environmental sensing & oceanography, Offshore energy, and Strategic naval operations & counter-mine-warfare.

Our vision is for AquaCore to become the default hardware layer for prototyping these systems - much like standard compute platforms enabled rapid innovation in terrestrial robotics. A core pillar of this vision is strong in-house development and manufacturing capability. We are building the ability to design, prototype, and produce as much of the AquaCore platform as possible internally, allowing, faster iteration and reduced supply-chain risk.

In the long-term, AquaHub aims to expand AquaCore into a comprehensive ecosystem of interoperable modules, facilitating faster development cycles, reduced deployment risk, and the emergence of a new generation of marine robotics.

What we are looking for

We value investors who bring long-term perspective, technical curiosity, and strategic insight.

Seeking VC partners who understand:

  • Deep-tech and hardware platform businesses
  • Longer development cycles paired with strong defensibility
  • The value of infrastructure ecosystems in engineering

Investment will be used to:

  • Productise the AquaCore platform
  • Scale manufacturing and supply chains
  • Expand the module ecosystem
  • Support go-to-market efforts with early customers
